Occupation: Middle School Principal From Betty: Hello my fellow Warriors! Well life has treated me very well and at times really rough. Since graduation I have lived in Scottsdale for 3 years and in Tucson for the rest of my time. I have traveled abroad to Europe and will be returning to Spain for our family reunion late June 07. I graduated from NAU Dec of 2002 with a dual major in Elementary education and Special Ed Elementary. I taught 1st grade at Van Buskirk for 2 years and am currently working at Craycroft Elementary as the prevention specialist. May 2005 I received my Masters in Educational Leadership and finished up my classes to receive my principal certificate May 2006. I am currently pursuing my Superintendent certificate and will be moving to Phoenix May 2007 where I will HOPEFULLY be running for Arizona State Superintendent during 2010. I guess this is the ONLY benefit of not having children, I can go to school. Kudos to all of you that have children and are working full time as well as taking your children to all of those extra curricular activities. I look forward to seeing everybody at the reunion! |

It has been a blast looking at pictures and reminiscing with several of you via email. I am married to a lovely women Roxanne, and have to beautiful boys Mateo 4 and Nico 1. I am still in Tucson and work for the Sunnyside Unified School District as a District Prevention Specialist. I essentially try to keep high-risk students in school. I hold two Engineering Certifications from M.I.T. I have been married for 13 years to my beautiful wife you all know, Rosario. I have two children that keep me busy: Briana Elena 7 year old and my 3 year old son John Anthony (who I named after my brother John Valenzuela, a South Tucson Police Officer killed in the line of duty on May 17, 1993). My kids are my pride and joy of my life. God has truly blessed with the best wife and kids in the world. One of the most rewarding things of my job at Raytheon, is working on some of the most advanced weapon systems and technology in the world. Knowing you have a direct impact on the world events, the war on terrorism and protecting the US against attack, is so rewarding. I am looking forward to seeing and getting in touch with all my Pueblo Classmates. After moving back to Tucson 3 years ago, I longed to get in contact with all the special people that made up the Pueblo Class of 1986. That is what motivated me and the reunion committee to join forces to put our 20 year reunion together for all of you.. You are so special to me and working on this reunion has made me miss you all even more. Once a Warrior, Always a Warrior. Can't wait to see you all on Oct 14th at Old Tucson! |

I am really looking forward to seeing you all in October and so is my sister Jennifer. I'm still in Tucson, and LOVE IT! I have a wonderful husband and have been blessed with 3 boys. My oldest is in college, the other is 5, and the youngest just turned 4. I've been working for the University of Arizona for the past 19 years. It took me awhile, but I'm proud to say that I graduated from the U of A after going part-time for years. I'm a WILDCAT, but a WARRIOR first, so I will always bleed BLUE and BLUE.
